This booklet gathers the court cases of the convention "Cultures of arithmetic and Logic," held in Guangzhou, China. the development used to be the 3rd in a sequence of interdisciplinary, foreign meetings emphasizing the cultural elements of philosophy of arithmetic and common sense. It introduced jointly researchers from many disciplines whose paintings sheds new mild at the variety of mathematical and logical cultures and practices. during this context, the cultural range should be diachronical (different cultures in several historic periods), geographical (different cultures in numerous regions), or sociological in nature.

Notice that the new orientation in the philosophy of mathematics is highly interdisciplinary. Some authors emphasize knowledge of mathematics itself and logic [. . ]; some others stress the role of cognitive science [. . ] or sociological approaches [. . ]; and the list goes on, with mathematics education, anthropology, biology, etcetera. (Ferreirós, 2015, pp. 1–2) The quotes by Mancosu, Van Bendegem, and Ferreirós emphasis that the philosophy of mathematical practice is not dealing with entirely new philosophical questions, but is a particular approach to philosophy of mathematics.
